I only have the device for about two weeks.Although the device appears to be a bit slow, it does a decent job.I have couple issues with it though.1 - I have not been able to make it work on the eSata port. It is not recognized at all.2 - So far, I have NOT been able to eject it gracefully from Windows. Any time I try, I get device busy. I actually have to pull the plug (USB cable). I had read the eSATA cable may or may not work, so I halfway didnt expect it to work and planned on sending it back. But I'll say mine worked great. Just one eSATA cable (no external powersource) and I was hitting write speeds of 10-15MB/s. I think thats even higher than advertised. I moved 40GB worth of music and pics in no time, and drive was really quiet and only got a little bit warm after about 1 hour of straight use. Received his item within 5 days. plugged it in and it immediately goes to work. Use it for backing up my entire computer HDD. Now I don;t have to back up on DVD's or CD's. I have had my device since November 2007 (when I switched to Mac). Apple had just introduced time machine and so I wanted to have a drive.
